CHARACTERS

  • Dayleg- The one who doesn't believe in beliefs and culture in his place.
  • Narrator- He is a friend of Dayleg.
SUMMARY

Mr. Dayleg is against all the rituals that his co-villagers do. He is ta teacher in his village. Dayleg doesn't teach them all the rituals and culture in their place, instead he teaches them the different rituals and culture which disrespects current culture of their community.

There was a sacred boar that symbolizes all the beliefs, culture, and rituals of their community. Mr. Dayleg killed the sacred boar to show the people that the belief they believe in, the culture they do are non sense.

If I were to compare Mr. Dayleg to Marcos, their similarity was to make people believe in a new tradition in which the people are not used to do or to believe in. Marcos wants to control the people under him so that there could be a uniformity in his administration.
